Job Description
Overview
Tarora is a remote private estate in the beautiful Fiordland region, close to the township of Te Anau. We are a truly stunning property with a number of exciting construction and development projects planned in Summer / Autumn 2024.
We are actively seeking Plumber to join our team, support to our onsite construction & property maintenance teams.
Duties & responsibilities
• Work hands-on, for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Apply plumbing techniques to ensure top-quality workmanship.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment required for plumbing projects.
• Read and interpret plumbing blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately, ensuring all work complies with these documents and associated regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions for complex plumbing issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site, tools, and equipment.
• Follow company policies, regulations, and industry standards rigorously.
• Diagnose issues, propose effective solutions, and execute repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safety during all plumbing tasks, including piping, drainage, and installation of plumbing fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Requirements
• Any level of experience is welcomed.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing materials and methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in interpreting designs, plans, and instructions.
• Strong familiarity with building and safety industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and reasonable strength, as lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces may be required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.
