Join our team! Strawberry Picking roles available on a short term casual basis starting ASAP

Do you have a good level of fitness, a positive attitude, a keen eye for detail and love working outdoors? If so then join our team!

We are looking for motivated individuals for Strawberry Picker roles to assist with our strawberry farm operations. Experience in horticulture is not essential as on-the-job training will be provided. The work can be very physically demanding, so a good level of fitness is required, but after a week or two your body will adjust and you will feel more comfortable. If you are motivated, you will gain a lot from strawberry picking and it's a great way to get fit!

Availability on weekends and public holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick strawberries from a bending over position
Sorting berries in the fields
Cleaning off of damaged and diseased berries from the plants
Cleaning off of old diseased leaves from the plants

Requirements:

One needs the ability to stand comfortably whilst working all-day
Good hand/eye co-ordination
Quick decision-making abilities.
Flexibility in working hours (dependent on crop harvest)
Good strong work ethics
Adaptable to new situations and challenges
Physically fit
Enjoy working outdoors (in all weather conditions)

We pick in all weather - rain or shine. It's important to come prepared with a rain jacket, sun hat, sunscreen and any other items you may need. Auckland weather changes rapidly so you have to be ready for anything!
